Anna's House has an opportunity for you! We are looking for a Line Cook to prepare food to the exact specifications and to set up stations for the menu. Line Cook duties also consist of assisting the Kitchen Manager with their daily tasks. The successful candidate will play a key role in contributing to Anna's House guest satisfaction.The Line Cook prepares, seasons, and cooks all items that are served to Annas House guests. This includes all items on the menu, specialty menus, and features. The Line Cook will be skilled at consistently and efficiently producing each order in accordance with the quality and safety standards Anna's House and our guests expect.ResponsibilitiesPrepare and cook menu items for guests quickly and efficiently and in cooperation with the rest of the kitchen staffOperate large-volume cooking equipment such as griddles, grills, and/or deep fryersMultitask by cooking several different orders at once, ensuring that all items are prepared in accordance with guest instructionsEnsure that food comes out simultaneously, in high quality, and in a timely fashionPrepare, wash, and cut foods to be cooked (e.g. chopping vegetables, butchering meat, or preparing sauces)Answer, report, and follow Kitchen Manager and General Manager instructionsClean work station and appropriately store leftover foodSet up and stock stations with all necessary suppliesComply with nutrition, sanitation, and safety regulationsMaintain a positive and professional approach with coworkers and guestsPerform other related duties as assignedRequirementsSkillsExcellent understanding of various cooking methods, ingredients, equipment, and proceduresManual dexterity to be able to operate cutting tools and kitchen utensils and equipmentAbility to work quickly and efficiently while executing tasks with accuracyFamiliar with industry best practices in health, safety, and sanitationAbility to work in a fast-paced and sometimes stressful environment and respond with a sense of urgencyAbility to work well as part of a teamWork EnvironmentAbility to stand exposure to extreme heat, steam, and cold present in a kitchen environmentAbility to stand and work in a kitchen for prolonged periods of timeMust be able to lift up to 50 pounds*Referral must complete 90 days of employmentBenefits$15 - $21 per hourFlexible scheduleExcellent working hoursNo night shiftsFull-time positions eligible for health, dental, vision, life insurance, and College Tuition DiscountsFuture growth opportunitiesby Jobble
